31/01/2014 - Over 100 Businesses to attend Business Connections Event on Thursday

Over one hundred businesses from Donegal and Northern Ireland are coming together this week for the much anticipated Business Connections event on Thursday February 6 in the Abbey Hotel, Donegal Town.

Businesses will hear from well known entrepreneurs such as Joanne Sweeny Burke, MediaBox and Irish Apprentice finalist, Grainne Kelly from Bubblebum and John Conaghan from Carecall who will be sharing some of the best kept secrets in business today.

There will also be an opportunity to attend a number of workshops on accessing finance, the pros and cons of social media, maximising your marketing budget and business banking.  Lorna Coleman from Micro Finance Ireland will be on hand to advise businesses on how they can access finance to start or grow their business and marketing expert Sarah Meehan and Daniel Browne will be sharing their tips on maximising your marketing budget.

Donna Maskery, event organiser and project officer with the Business Bootcamp initiative is delighted with the interest from businesses from both sides of the border in this event.  “I am delighted with the huge interest in this event which will, without a doubt, set the tone for those who have a keen interest in starting their own business or for existing businesses that need help establishing themselves.”

“I am overwhelmed by the goodwill and generosity of all those who have agreed to speak at the event and to host workshops throughout the day.  It goes to show that businesses want to work together and support each other and the fact that businesses are coming together from both sides of the border will create new business opportunities and contacts for everyone attending the event.”

This event is being run as part of the cross-border Business Bootcamp Project which is funded by INTERREG IVA and is being delivered by Donegal County Council working with COMET a partnership of six local authorities from the Greater Belfast area.

There are still a limited number of places available and you can book your place today at businessconnectionsevent.eventbrite.co.uk
